The first joint meeting of the Acoustical Society of America (ASA), the Iberoamerican
Federation of Acoustics (FIA) and the Mexican Institute of Acoustics (IMA) will be held along
the beautiful coastline of Cancun, Mexico at the Hotel Fiesta Americana Coral Beach. This five
star hotel is located on a lovely beach, and is also nearby the main shopping mall. Cancun is
located on the Yucatán Peninsula and lies in the heart of the Mexican Caribbean Sea. It is
the gateway to the ancient Mayan sacred cities of Cichén-Itzá, Tulum, Uxmal and
Cobá, and to the marvelous natural sites of Mujeres Isle, Cozumel and Xel-há www.yucatan.gob.mx. Tours of the Yucatán
Peninsula will occur after the conference. The Hotel is about 30 minutes from the Cancun airport
which is served by direct flights on many major airlines.
As a joint meeting of the ASA, FIA and IMA, this conference will bring together experts from
all fields of acoustics, including topics and short courses of special importance to Mexico, South
America, Spain and Portugal.
The meeting will consist of plenary lectures, invited and contributed papers, poster sessions,
exhibits, tutorials and short courses. The official language will be English, although there will be
short courses and sessions in Spanish and Portuguese at the beginning of the meeting. There will
also be numerous meetings on standards.
La primera reunión conjunta entre la Sociedad Americana de Acústica (ASA), la
Federación Iberoamericana de Acústica (FIA) y el Instituto Mexicano de
Acústica (IMA), se efectuará en la bell¡sima costa de Cancún, México, en
el Hotel de Gran Turismo Fiesta Americana Coral Beach, ubicado en una majestuosa playa y
justo enfrente del principal centro comercial. Cancún está ubicada en la
Península de Yucatán, en el corazón del Caribe Mexicano, y es la puerta de las
Ciudades Sagradas Mayas de Chichén-Itzá, Tulum, Uxmal, Cobá, y las
maravillas naturales de Isla Mujeres, Cozumel, Xel-há, Xcaret e isla Contoy www.yucatan.gob.mx Habrá recorridos
organizados en la pen¡nsula después del congreso. El hotel está a sólo 30 min.
del aero-puerto de Cancún, al cual llegan vuelos directos desde m£ltiples ciudades de
América y Europa.
Por tratarse de una reunión conjunta de ASA, FIA e IMA, la conferencia reunirá
expertos de todos los campos de la acústica, incluyendo temas y cursos cortos de especial
importancia para México, Sudamérica, España y Portugal.
La reunión incluirá sesiones plenarias, conferencias invitadas, sesiones
temáticas, posters, exhibición, tutoriales y cursos. El lenguaje oficial es Inglés,
y habrá además de ademáa de cursos and sesiones en español y
portugués. Tambi‚n habr numerosas reuniones de normas.
A primeira reunião conjunta da Sociedade Americana de Acústica, da
Federação Iberamericana de Acústica e do Instituto Mexicano de Acústica
será realizada na belíssima costa de Cancun - Mèxico, no Hotel Fiesta
Americana Coral Beach. Este hotel è 5 estrelas e está localizado numa bela praia em
frente ao principal shopping center. A cidade mexicana de Cancun está localizada na
Península de Yucatàn, no coração do Mar do Caribe. Ela è a porta
das cidades sagradas Mayas de Chichèn-Itzá, Tulum, Uxmal, Cobá e das
maravilhosas ilhas naturais de Mujeres, Cozumel, Xel-há, Xcaret e ilha de Contay www.yucatan.gob.mx. Após o evento
Haverá tours para a Península de Yucatán. O hotel está cerca de 30
minutos do aeroprto de Cancun, que tem vôos diretos das maiores cidades no mundo.
Por se tratar de uma reunião conjunta de ASA, FIA e IMA, esta conferência
reunirá especialistas de todas as áreas de acústica, incluindo temas e cursos
intensivos especiais para o Mèxico, Amèrica do Sul, Espanha e Portugal.
A reunião é composta de sessões plenárias, palestrantes convidados,
sessões temáticas, posters, cursos, tutorias e exposição. A l¡ngua oficial
do evento é o Inglês, porém serão organizadas cursos intensivos e
sessões em Espanhol e Português. Também serão realizadas
reuniões sobre normas técnicas.
