Overnight at Chichen Itza

 

 

 

 

Chichen Itzá, the ancient Maya capital was home to the greatest astronomers, mathematicians, and architects of the Maya during the classic period (600-1224 DC). 202 kms south of Cancún, it holds a multitude of surprises for everybody. The 75 ft. high Pyramid of Kukulcan casts its impressive shadow over the Ball Court, where the game of life and death was played for hundreds of years. A Jade Jaguar proudly resides inside the pyramid; and the Palace of the Columns, the Caracol Observatory and the Temple of the Warriors are proof of a once flourishing civilization. And of course, there is the mysterious Cenote Sagrado where humans, jewels,  and other precious things were sacrificed to the Mayan raingod Chaac.

 

From Cancun, you will drive to Valladolid, an enchanting colonial town, where you will have some time for sightseeing and shopping and visit the nearby Dzinup cenote followed by lunch. The tour continues to Balancanche Grotos right next to Chichen Itza, stay overnight, and next explore the wonders of this major archeological site.

3.  Tour registration at the meeting will be on a space-available basis.

4.- Refunds for canceled/overbook tours will be made in Cancun in US Dollars. 

5.- Cancellations or all other tours must be made 48 hours In advance to receive a refund.

6.- No-shows are non-refundable.

7.- The Tour to will be done on exclusive basis with a minimum of 35 passengers
