The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America is now available online to ASA members who, through membership in ASA, receive the Journal in either print or CD-ROM format. Also included with JASA Online (JASA-O) is access to the abstracts of papers that have been published in JASA sine 1975.

Note about User Agreements: The user agreements are in "PDF" format which can be opened and printed by using the freely available Adobe Acrobat Reader software. Please visit the Adobesite for a free copy of this software, or for more information.

Members who wish to receive JASA Online must complete a User Agreement which can be downloaded here as a 30 kb PDF document.

1. Download, complete, and return the user agreement as indicated. Please remember that without a clearly written e-mail address, we will be unable to notify you that your online account set-up has been completed.
2. Generally, within 2 weeks after we have received your user agreement you will receive an e-mail message indicating that your account set-up has been completed. This message will also include instructions for you to go to the online registration site, where you must select a username and password for you to use to access The Journal of the Acoustical Society Online.
3. You must have your membership number available when you choose your username and password. This number can be found on your JASA mailing label and consists of either 8-digits starting with a 9 or a 1 or a combination of letters and numbers beginning with the first two letters of your last name followed by 6 numbers.
4. Once you have completed the online registration, you are able to immediately access JASA-O at http://scitation.aip.org/jasa/ using the username and password that you have chosen. You will also receive an e-mail confirmation message once you have completed the online registration.
