POSITION SUMMARY
Working out of the dedicated R&D Audio team, the successful candidate will be an Audio Engineer with cell phone or portable audio device experience ranging from component selection to DSP (Digital Signal Processing) tuning. The role will demand implementing hardware and acoustic devices, as well as optimizing the DSP parameters to yield world class audio performance. The candidate will take on the audio engineering lead for new products and including project planning for the complete audio HW system development.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
· 5 to 10 years' experience in audio product development related to telephony or multimedia
· Electronic experience with an emphasis on noise reduction
· Thorough knowledge of DSP algorithms for speech and multimedia audio, and how they work within the context of tuning them
· Knowledge of telecom and multimedia audio quality parameters
· Detailed knowledge of certification and 3GPP specifications
· A passion for music/stereo mixing
· Knowledge of acoustic transducers
· Experience from high volume product development
