Acoustic Assessment Engineer/Program Manager
Location: Bethesda, MD
Description:
The successful candidate will:
* Provide on-site technical and program management support to the
TUBA program.
* Provide on-site technical support and management to the TARPS
laboratory at Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD).
* Manage task planning, cost estimation, scheduling, and progress
reporting.
* Compose clear, concise and effective written communications for
customer and internal use to include processing system design
documentation, interface design descriptions, test plans, and progress
briefings.
* Give verbal briefings for customer project reviews, internal
reviews, and project development meetings.
* Support the NSWCCD in the areas of TUBA sonar grooming and
preparation, sonar data collection, signal processing, and analysis.
* Evaluate business opportunities within the TUBA sonar business
area and recommend opportunities for possible proposal.
Qualifications:
* B.S Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field.
* Demonstrated capability in the following engineering
disciplines: Submarine Sonar design, acoustics and acoustics processing,
software/control, applied electrical, and mechanical engineering.
* Ten or more years experience supporting acquisition programs in
all facets of program management.
* Former SSN Submarine Sonar Technician, TUBA program groomer, or
TUBA Calibration Trial Director a plus.
* Must have an active SECRET security clearance.
