Principal Engineer/Scientist-Structural Acoustics
The United Technologies Research Center (UTRC) has an opportunity for a Principal Engineer/Scientist with specialization and experience in structural acoustics to join a multidisciplinary team focused on innovation and partnering with United Technologies Corporation (UTC) business units and leading worldwide institutions.
Qualifications: The ideal addition to our talented team will hold a minimum M.S. (preferably a PhD) in Acoustics or a related engineering field, with expert theoretical, experimental and application knowledge of acoustics, especially in structural acoustics modeling, experimental validation and system-level design.
Experience: We seek an outstanding practitioner with 8 or more years of experience in the structural acoustics field who can develop innovative solutions to noise and vibration of aerospace and building systems similar to UTC's products and lead a team using physics-based modeling, experimental methods and structural acoustics analytical/computational tools (SEA, BEA, FEA, EFEA, etc). United States citizenship or permanent residence status is required.
