Responsibilities:
As an acoustical engineer in the Noise Reduction Technology Group, your responsibilities will include acoustic design and analysis of acoustic cavities and microphone housing based around our headset designs. You will make design decisions to support the audio and noise reduction performance goals of our products. You will utilize acoustic modeling skills to develop and evaluate new ideas for technologies, products, and product elements from early development through production. This includes responsibility for coordinating the design, prototyping, and testing of components, working with the project team and other support groups at Bose. You will analyze and recommend design options for manufacturability, reliability, durability, performance, and cost.
Skills:
Must demonstrate a high level of proficiency in Acoustic Modeling.
Product design experience and familiarity with computer-based engineering analysis tools is required.
Must be willing to enhance skills through education to suit needs of this position.
Experience designing personal products and/or "wearable" products is a plus.
Must have solid communication skills and the demonstrated ability to work creatively, both independently and as a project team member, to generate unique solutions to engineering design problems.
Education:
BS degree preferably in acoustics or electrical engineering and minimum 8 years experience in a development environment
