Full Time Position Providing Civilian Services at
this Military Medical Treatment Facility.

Tasks:
Performs basic audiologic testing, monitors the Army Hearing Conservation Program, provides instruction, makes hearing aid ear mold impressions and performs in-house hearing aid repairs.
Provides audiologic services in support active, USAR/ARNG Soldiers who are processing through the Soldier Processing Center in preparation for deployment or who are returning from deployment.
Uses basic audiometric equipment to perform routine diagnostic hearing tests on patients of all ages. Conducts pure tone audiometry, speech testing procedures, the imittance test battery and special auditory tests for
differentiating between cochlear and retrochochlear pathology.
Assists audiologist un testing of children and other who require nontraditional test procedures by operating the instrumentation. Participates in inter- and intra - service staff meetings to exchange information regarding
audiometric procedures and techniques and quality assurance issues.
Uses computer and peripheral equipment to enter demographics and establish baseline and annual hoe ring thresholds in support of the Army Hearing Conservation Program.
Conducts hearing tests using the Hearing Evaluations Automated Registry System (HEARS).
Schedules Army units within the Winn Army Community Hospital region for annual hearing tests.
Instructs patients on procedures required for follow-up care.
Performs hearing aid maintenance on behind-the-ear (BTE) and in-the-ear (ITE) models to include minor electronic adjustments, replacing BTE hooks, and ear mold tubing, replacement of broken parts on ITE models and
modification of molding.
Schedules appointments foe hearing aid evaluations and other follow-up procedures.
