Noise Control Engineering Inc., Billerica, MA (suburban Boston) is looking for an entry-level engineer, 0 to 3 years experience. This engineer should have strong academic courses in acoustics, electrical engineering or mechanical engineering with either BS or MS degree.

NCE specializes in providing practical solutions to noise and vibration problems in the marine and industrial markets. Our engineers provide noise and vibration analyses, design details for noise and vibration treatments, diagnostic tests, treatment construction inspection and QA, and acoustic verification testing. Our customers are worldwide - including the US Navy, US Coast Guard, Army Corp of Engineers, GE, Lockheed Martin, and numerous design agents and shipyards. NCE is a small company with a very good reputation in the marine field.

NCE is looking for an engineer interested in challenging acoustic engineering projects requiring investigative engineering and optimization of treatments and approaches with respect to weight, cost and impact on the system's operation. NCE has also developed advanced modeling tools for predicting shipboard habitability noise and underwater radiated noise.

NCE is looking for someone who is self-motivated, can communicate effectively and can work with other team members. This position can require national and international travel and short periods at sea. U.S. Citizenship is required.
