The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders is recruiting for three, nine-month, faculty positions as part of an expanding focus.
Desired areas of expertise for each position are as follows:
Position #1: Speech science
Position #2: Adult neurogenic, cognitive and/or swallowing disorders
Position #3: Childhood cognitive disorders, including autism spectrum disorders.
Tenure track for Assistant Professor, tenured for Associate Professor.
The successful candidate for each position will be responsible for conducting research in their area of expertise, mentoring Ph.D. students, directing student research, and advising graduate students. Opportunities are
available for interdisciplinary teaching & research. Summer teaching possible. Starting date: August 23, 2010

Qualifications
Must have a Ph.D. in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related area. Applicants for Assistant professor should show evidence of scholarly publication and potential for excellent teaching, programmatic research, and
extramural grant generation. For Associate Professor, applicants should show significant evidence of scholarly publication, demonstrated teaching excellence, and success in extramural funding.
