The Department of Communication Disorders and Sciences at Rush University seeks candidates for a 12-month tenure-track position in speech-language pathology with expertise in pediatrics, beginning in September 2011 or earlier. Qualified candidates should have a Ph.D. in speech-language pathology or related field, research/scholarly skills in keeping with position expectations, and effective teaching skills. CCC-SLP is required and the applicant should be eligible for IL license.

The principle responsibilities include:

1. Teaching the following courses in the current CDS curriculum: Language Disorders in Preschool Children, Language Disorders in School-age Children, and Articulation and Phonological Disorders

2. Developing independent research program in area of interest and successfully pursuing extramural funding for research as appropriate

3. Providing direct/indirect clinical services
