Department Description
Companion products produces the audio accessories for Motorola, such as Bluetooth headsets, wired headsets, and portable stereo speakers. Audio lab in Lawrenceville, GA needs an audio engineer/acoustician to help in the product development, specifications, and performance testing and validation of these products.
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations
Perform objective acoustical/audio measurements of prototypes and products. Manage calibration, equipment upgrades, work flow.
Specific Knowledge/Skills
Acoustics, engineering acoustics, acoustical transduction, DSP algorithms, voice processing algorithms, telecommunications standards (3gpp, ITU). Familiarity with audio testing of Bluetooth devices or mobile phones is a plus. Experience with test equipment such as R&S CBT/CMU200, SoundCheck, B&K HATS, B&K Pulse, R&S UPV, Adobe Audition is preferred.
