Regional Chapters of the Acoustical Society of America

Professional activity between Acoustical Society meetings occurs at the local level through twenty-three active regional chapters. A Committee on Regional Chapters meets at each national ASA meeting to coordinate the chapter activities and exchange information. In addition to their own technical meetings and social functions, several regional chapters sponsor prizes at local school science fairs to promote interest in acoustics. Membership in most regional chapters does not require membership in the Acoustical Society, though only Society members may hold office.
